Governor Evers increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour?

Minimum Wage Hike

NFIB will battle the minimum wage hike in the budget that could eventually take Wisconsin to the $15/hour minimum wage level.  The Governor has proposed an immediate increase to $8.25/hour (current minimum wage level is $7.25), followed by more increases until reaching $10.50 on January 1, 2023.  The minimum wage would increase every year thereafter by the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index.  Governor Evers is also creating a committee to study options and recommendations for increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour.
